The Mac Life

November 9, 2009

Today is the day that Apple released another update for Snow Leopard (10.6.2) with tons of fixes, thanks Apple. By now everyone is used to updating their software and operating systems because all those bugs ultimately cause time or more realistically, MONEY to come out of your wallet. Now being an active user of both Mac’s and PC’s I have noticed tons of updating characteristics between the two and believe Mac is far superior is this field. Notice this screenshot of me updating to 10.6.2 – 2 minutes for a 157.7 mb update.

Apple understands the user and understands time = money, thats why you get updates fast. Their servers are probably overloaded with tons of users trying to get this update and yet it still delivers with a top tier speed. On the other hand, being tech support for my whole family I have noticed more and more that Windows updates just lag and seriously take time, I mean a lot of time. And don’t get me started if you do you fresh install of any Windows OS – it is frustrating to say the least.

So thanks Apple. For having me in mind.
